The 4th O July!!

1st we started out the day at the park for breakfast with our ward & then went Swimming at our R.S. presidents house, who invited anyone in the ward to stop by. It got crazy busy with more than 50 people there!
Of Course Cole had a blast! His favorite was going down the waterslide with mom or dad!

That night we went to our sister-in-laws grandparents home for fun & fireworks!

Cole & Kya had fun playing with the Glow Sticks!

Everyone outside on the front lawn waiting for the show to start and messing with the glow sticks.

We all had Root Beer Floats too!

Jace & his brother Preston were haven fun messing around with the "Fireworks 3D Glasses" & glow sticks. Attempting to toss the rings to one another and catch them with the glasses on. You say it looks easy, huh? Try figuring out witch ring is the real one with those glasses on when it looks like there's 5!

Lil Coco & Dad hanging out waiting for the fireworks show to begin. Cole thought they were great! He really liked to point at them all! It was way past his bed time, but he was being soo good & besides I didn't want him to miss out on the firworks show!

Let the Show Begin!

The coolest looking fireworks I've ever seen! Thanks to the 3D Glasses! I had the crazy idea of holding the lenses of the glasses up to my view finder and tried it out. Hard to get the timeing just right, but when I did, this is what showed up!
Pretty awesome, huh?!

Entering TODDLERHOOD: The "I Do It!" Stage

Just couldn't waite for mom to get me some graham crackers, so I'll just take the whole thing with me! Love them Graham Crackers!

Moms Story: So the other day I had my visiting teachers over; Cole had just woken from his nap so I gave him a piece of graham cracker which he was happily eating til he decided for some odd reason that he didn't want it so he stood there and pushed out of his mouth the half eaten crackers onto the carpet. Strange cuz he'd never done that before, so I said, "I think he's showing off for you guys". Then he decides to take the rest of his graham cracker and smash it in his fists while on my lap all over Mommy's white pants which Exploded everywhere! One of my V.T.'s said, "Wow, I've never seen a graham cracker explode like that before!"

Then . . .its lunch time!
So here's Coles first encounter with Spaghetti O's & boy did he Love 'em!

And Coles baby spoon just wasn't good enough to eat with, so he kept pointing to my spoon.
He was already such a mess that finally I gave in and let him have it.
And he would not let me feed it to him! Basically, he ended up sucking the sauce off the spoon, but hey, Cole did it "all by himself'!

Such A happy camper!

What a cute messy face!

My Husband the "Chef"

Eat your heart out Filibertos!

Yesterday, Jace made us some simple yet wonderful gourmet chicken, bean, & rice burritos for Sunday dinner.

Hats off to the Chef(I think "kiss the chef" applies here for me)! He is a great cook and has done many amazing meals for us!

I guess all those years of bachelorhood paid off!! (wink ;)

Catching Some ZZZZZZZzzzz's. . . .

Just a few of the funny and new positions we find Cole sleeping in these days.

Our Lil Frog!

The "Sprawler"(nice to sleep naked on these hot summer days, huh?). A new favorite for Cole to turn 180 in his crib and put his feet up on the bumpers and talk to himself til he falls asleep.

Or play with his animals friends til he gets too drowsy

Ah! to sleep as freely as a baby again!

Happy 4th Birthday Cousin Emry!

My niece Emry at her Birthday party at Amazing Jakes! July 8th

Cole with his older cousin Summer trying to help him sit down and be safe!

Cole & Mom on the carousel. Wheeeeeeee!

AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! (Cole screaming). Having loads of fun in the kiddie zone!

Although Coles face doesnt show the expression of his excitement, he really does love these things. He cracks us up how on rides or the swings he is straight faced, so we figure he must not care for it, but when we take him off, he has a fit. Funny guy! Hard to tell when he likes some things. And other times, he lets us know for sure what he likes or doesnt like!

He loved being about to run and crawl all around the big blocks with a bunch of other kids.

I just love this expression on his face! Prob. bcuz I've never captured it before. It's like he's saying "Hey, back away from my truck and my lady!(cousin Tatum)". It's such a different and grown up look. My baby's becoming a little boy(kinda sad)!

Crashing in front of the T.V. with Dad, watching Baby Einstien at the end of a busy party night!

Mommys Little Helper. . .

The Laundry . . .

Every time Cole hears me open the laundry doors, he comes runnen! So now he Loves to throw in a few shirts, close the door, and of course, push the buttons!

The Office . . .

After tearing through the camera case, He wants to help by "putting it back". So he sits there for 5 minutes trying to put the lense cap back on.

The Dishes . . .

Cole also comes a runnen when he hears me doing dishes. He has discovered he can CLIMB! Note: these dishes are clean!

The Pantry . . .

If I ever leave the pantry doors open, I'm in for a surprise usually! We've been working on the "Clean up, clean up" song. So this entailed Cole putting back about 2 straws and mom all the rest. It's all good though, we're learning! that's what counts, right?

Then . . .

Look mom! I helped stack the baby food for you! (Was pulled out & stacked by Cole. A new favorite, to stack or line stuff up!)

So . . .
when does that stage of your kid being efficient when helping really start, and the age when its no longer "fun" to help end? Or does it?!
Note . . .
All of these "helping activities" were done with in a couple of days of eachother. SO I take it I'm in for a real treat these next few years! Gotta love it!
