Earlier this morning I gave Cole a bath, pulled him out and dried him off as best I could with his little hoodie towel before he threw it off his head, opened the bathroom door and bolted down the hall. I'm gathering up his p.j.'s and now going to find a naked baby running through my house.
I call out, "Cocoooo" where are you? And normally he comes running back down the hall squealing and I'll pick him up and tickle him. But it was real quite, so I look around and into the kitchen and see him standing by the island. I thought, oh, he's playing chase. So I said, "I'm gonna get you"! and as usual he comes squealing and running towards me. I then pick him up and go get him dressed.
So, about 10 minutes later, I'm back in the kitchen fixing a snack, turn around and stepped towards the island and slightly slipped into something wet.
I thought, What? How did this water get here? And immediately remembered that, that's where Cole was standing when I found him after his bath and then proceeded to think that it was just from his little wet body. And then thought, no, he was pretty dry.
( All this, "thinking" was in a matter of seconds)
So I looked down a saw a pretty big puddle all over the floor. Then I took a 2nd look and saw it was yellow! Yep! You guessed it! Cole had stood there and peed all over the kitchen floor and I just found it! he had never done that before, but I guess there's a 1st for everything!
Needless to say, I was kinda grossed out.
So I washed my foot off, wiped up the pee, and decided to look at the brighter side, at least it wasn't on the carpet or on me while I was holding him. Although, I do have to say, thinking back on all the gross things we do for our kids to care for them, that's not that bad on the list.

Oh, He Makes Us Laugh!
This was the first time he's ever really noticed or played with my pony tail. He def. doesn't understand the meaning of "be soft".
A favorite game of Cole's! And we love it too! Gett'n those meals down him. Just glad it's not a need for most meals! Although the last few days he's started the "picky toddler eating" thing, which we've never had problems with thus far, he's pretty much loved whatever we have given him. Who knows, we'll see!
Do it again! Again!!
He just kept on cracking up!
Pumpkin Patch Night @ Mother Natures Farm
This is where we took Cole last year for his first pumpkin picking and also where we got our chickens 3 years ago while getting our pumpkins.
Cole was having a squeal to go get down and run around, but we gotta do the picture thing so Jace just started copying him. I thought it was prety funny. I don't have any pics of the whole Stapley gang that was there, prob. cuz my camera was dying, but all the brothers & their families were there along with the in-laws, so that made it fun too!
Then we stuck him in the middle of the miniature pumpkins and gourds where his cousin Melanie helped pile them in his lap.
He thoroughly enjoyed the game of turning around and putting them back while 3 older cousins piled them back on.
He looks so big here! I can't believe it! on the other side of the corn stalks were roosters that were so funny climbing up into pine trees and crowing! He was laughing so cute at that!
And then off to see the baby chicks! Loved that too!
Game Time Baby!!

As of late, Cole has discovered he can catch the chickens in another way. So he chases them around the yard til he can get the tail feathers of the closest chickadee to him, then pulls them along with him. Don't worry, he hasn't yanked out any major feathers.
It is hilarious to watch this fearless little munchkin go after these guys.
Mostly I love seeing the biggest grins on his little face once he catches them. And our chickens tolerate him so well! They never peck at him. They def. aren't ordinary farm chicks.
The very best is when our biggest hen Cleo starts flapp'n her wings like crazy, Cole giggles like crazy, and so do we.
And even after all the pestering he does to them, they still love to come be by him every day when we go out to check on them or play in the yard.

But the sweetest part of the day was watching Lil Cole watch Gen. Conf. and kick back with Daddy.
He was really so good the whole time. His new favorite "sport" helped. His marble game which he's completely obsessed with! And Daddy kept him entertained too! Which he always has fun doing.
And I loved how he stopped what he was doing mid-action to watch and listen to the Primary Choir sing " I love to See the Temple", which I sing to him almost every night before bed and to know and see that he recognized it.
It was A busy, fun, and inspiring weekend for sure!
I'm a Porsche Boxster!

You're stylish, nimble, and good-looking. When it comes to having fun, there are few who can surpass you. And yet, you suffer from a lingering inferiority complex. Maybe it's because you have an older relative who is always in thelimelight?
Just for fun . . .
Take the http://www.tomorrowland.us/sportscar">Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.
That would be a fun car to have, even for a day! On roads like that one!
