Fall Fashion Model Runway Show
Cole & I had the super fun opportunity to be on the cat walk!
A few weeks ago we tried out for the Superstition Springs Back to School & Fall Fashion Show sponsored by the Tanya Barnes-Matt Modeling Agency. It said calling all ages, shapes, & sizes, so . . . I figured, what the heck, I've always wanted to at least try something like that, & that would be fun! We tried out and a few days later were notified that we were chosen to model for Gap & Gap Baby.
It was a really fun experience! The show was today @ 1pm. We started out the morning with a run through practice with about 70 models total who were modeling for different stores in the mall & then we were sent in groups down to Macy's to get our make-up professionally done.
Cole was so good about the whole thing. He just held my hand going down the runway, posed a few times, then I picked him up & walked back, and he didn't cry or act scared at all. He just seemed like, "ok, here we go!" We got to go down individually and then as a group of the Gap Woman Models.
The Pics a lil blurry, but isn't he a cutie!? He could totally be "Male Model of the Year"!
The only down side about the clothes I was modeling was how extremely hot I was in the outfit! Even though it was inside, it's still summer outside!! But we were showing off upcoming fall styles, so ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Oh, & the bummer fact that we didn't get to keep the clothes we modeled, darn it!
We got our portraits taken at Kiddie Kandids were we each get an 8x10 in our outfits. All the participants also got fun bright green goody bags with different, make-up, food, & hair samples in 'em.
My family came to support & my mom had fun being our personal photographer for the show. Well, she loves taking pictures anyway so it worked out great!
So even if I never get to do something like this again, I can at least say that I've tried modeling!
Oh! And if anyone wants to try out something like this, it's a fun, easy try-out & they do it every year, if not every season. And it's open to all ages, shapes, & sizes, so you or your cute little kiddos or both could do it! I had just received the info. in an email from the Superstition Mall.
And now! Back to reality, because, as Derek ZooLander would say . . .
"There's more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking!"
